Kristie LIM
Founding Principal & Aspiring Yoga Novice
A double-degree holder from the National University of Singapore and the University of London, Kristie is both a trained accountant and a lawyer. She also has a Certificate in Early Childhood Education.

A passionate educator at heart, Kristie has always believed that it is imperative to provide students with a good foundation from a young age. It was with this in mind that Mind Stretcher was conceived in 2002 – to provide value-added tutorial and enrichment lessons to the general masses and to stretch the potential of each and every student, regardless of his/her background.
Starting her own tuition & enrichment centre also afforded Kristie some flexibility in working hours, which was especially important given the fact that she was then a single mother, tending to four young children. Her eldest son, a 2012 President’s Scholar whom she coached, is the best testimony of Kristie’s expertise as an educator.
Alvin Kuek
Co-Founder & Blindfold Chess Wannabe
An ex-MOE Secondary Asean Scholar (Raffles Institution), PSC Pre-U Asean Scholar (Raffles Junior College) and a Kuok Foundation University Scholar, Alvin is a Chartered Accountant by training.
He began his career at Arthur Andersen and Price Waterhouse before being headhunted to become the CFO of two technology firms, one of which eventually listed on the Singapore bourse. After leaving the financial sector, he became a Lecturer at a Ngee Ann Polytechnic, where his interest in education was ignited.

An animated speaker & master teacher, Alvin is a familiar face at Mind Stretcher bootcamps, workshops & seminars. Over the years, he had also given talks at various tertiary institutions and business organisations to share his extensive experience in education and entrepreneurship.

Being the Co-Founder and Chief Education Officer of Mind Stretcher. Alvin's raison d'etre is to inspire students and mentor them on their education journey. In the past 16 years, Alvin has nurtured thousands of students (including two Singapore President’s Scholars)
